The lecture shows how to display a widget to play audio in HTML.

In particular, the tag audio is used to display some controls with a play button that when pressed plays the sound specified by the src attribute.

The controls attribute is used to display an audio player widget provided by default by the browser. Otherwise, you would have to build your own.
